My Shift

Staff see exactly which checks are due, on a shared tablet or the store phone.

Issues become actions

A failed check is recorded with what happened, not just a tick.

Built for groups

One store or twenty. Area managers only see the stores assigned to them.

A record of who did what

Every change is logged with person and time, in UK time.

Why we built RetailShield

Built for Retailers, by Retailers.

RetailShield Compliance wasn't created in a boardroom by people trying to imagine what running a retail business is like. It was created from years of actually doing it.

Our founder, Sag Hussain, has owned and operated Premier convenience stores alongside independent retail businesses, and has dealt first-hand with keeping compliance consistent across more than one location.

Running the Store Is Only Half the Job

On any given day, independent retailers are juggling:

Most independent retailers don't have a compliance department, HR department, training department and health & safety department.

Quite often, the owner is all of them.

The Problem I Experienced Myself

As a multiple-store owner, I know first-hand how difficult it can be to keep every location operating to the same standard.

The problem was never that we didn't care about compliance. The problem was time.

When you're dealing with staff shortages, deliveries, suppliers, customers, equipment failures, banking, invoices and everything else involved in running a retail business, it is surprisingly easy for a routine compliance task to be pushed back.

  • A staff member's refresher training might be due.
  • A weekly check might be forgotten.
  • A document might be approaching expiry.
  • An incident might be dealt with correctly but never formally recorded.
  • A refusal might happen but never make it into the refusals log.
  • A manager might assume another member of staff completed something.

And when you operate multiple stores, those small gaps become increasingly difficult to monitor.

I wanted one system that could bring everything together. That is why RetailShield Compliance was created.
